I AM ANNA presents the life of Christ in an easily read narrative. It is told by Anna, Jesus' grandmother and Mary's mother. Anna describes herself as an independent thinker who defied her own parents and married Ezekiel for love, angling her way out of an arranged marriage. Anna's strength reminds me of a modern woman not Jesus's grandmother. She allows her daughter, Mary the freedom to explore nature, recognizing unusual qualities long before the conception.
This is a great book for both young and old who want to read a feminine perspective on the life of Christ. If you were unable to sit through Christian education classes or never even tried, this is an enjoyable way to catch up. I had trouble putting the book down.
